SLA - value creation or value destruction?

At Sundari-Experts, we often come across Service Level Agreement Contracts that do not fit the purpose they are intended for.


Some basic questions to ask are :

  • what are my critical business processes? (YES, again a Business question!)
  • what business asset do I want to protect?
  • what level of protection does this process really need?
  • does the proposed SLA cover the all the above answers?


It is best practice to stay within the scope of what is necessary. Going further implies a cost you can not justify from business perspective.
